This fall we are introducing the new Library of Things (LoT) collection to the library! This collection will be made up of household items and will be available for students, faculty, and staff to check out for a week at a time. The LoT items include cookie cutters, a portable photo scanner, Bluetooth speaker, portable car battery jump starter, and cordless drill.
The photo scanner will be checked out to patrons with a 16 GB card, which should be wiped before it is returned. The photos scanned can be sent directly to a PC or cellphone using built-in Wi-Fi, and will make digitizing those important memories a breeze. The Bluetooth speaker also includes a power bank and boasts a 30 hour playtime. It is waterproof and has an outdoor mode, which truly makes this the best speaker choice for everything from camping trips to lake parties. The jump starter is another must-borrow for long drives, as it allows users to safely jump start a dead car battery with ease. Check this item out for a low-stress option before your next road trip! Tired of buying cookie cutters for a one-off baking day? The LoT collection will offer cookie cutters for a variety of holidays and seasons. These include Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and more! Patrons are required to clean all cookie cutters before returning them to the library. The cordless drill kit is another great check-out option for those home DIY projects. With 18 torque settings and a variety of different drill bits, this drill is sure to come in handy.
The LoT items will be available for check out (for a week at a time) beginning this fall, so be sure to stop by!
