24/7 LIBRARIAN

  
 

If you enjoy instant messaging, 24/7 Librarian is for you. Librarians from Bellevue University will answer your questions during Reference Desk hours, while other academic librarians will answer your questions after hours.
 
To chat online with a reference librarian in real time, go to the library homepage and click Ask-A-Librarian Services,  in the left menu of the library homepage. Fill in the required information on the form which appears in a new window, on the right side of the screen. Submit your question by clicking on Connect. Once you have connected, you will see a scripted response welcoming you. The live chat will begin at this point. Use  the message box to chat with a librarian, but be patient as there may be delays between responses.

 

 
 
One nice feature of 24/7 Librarian is the co-browse.  When in this mode, you can actually follow along on your computer screen and see how the librarian navigates the databases to locate your information.  However, you must be using a newer version of Internet Explorer for the co-browse to work
