Nebraska Library Week

What is it?

  • Nebraska Library Week is a brand new celebration started by the Nebraska Library Association to recognize the impact that Nebraskan libraries have and their relationships with their communities. This year’s theme is Connecting Communities!
  • Celebrate with us from November 12th through the 18th.

Events

Makerspace Open House

  • Thursday, November 16th | 2:00-3:00 PM in LIB 460
  • Come test out all the exciting tools and machines offered in the Library’s Makerspace Collection. We’ll be teaching attendees how to use our Cricut Explore 3, sewing machine, metal stamping tools, button makers, laminator, and label maker.

Digital Scavenger Hunt

Get your search on with our digital scavenger hunt and you can be entered for the chance to win a library-themed goody bag!*

Let’s Profess!

  • Tell us about your favorite experiences with the Library – interactions with staff, events, presentations, and whatever else you’d like to share!
  • Stop by the Library to fill out a card or share your story online.

Spirit Week

Join us in dressing up to show off some Library spirit! Each day will have its own theme and we encourage you to stop by and see what the Library staff is wearing!

  • Monday – Blast from the Past Day
  • Tuesday – Cardigan Day
  • Wednesday – Diabetes Awareness Day (Wear gray!)
  • Thursday – Hogwarts House Day
  • Friday – Dress like a Book Cover Day

  • Check out our glass display case featuring photos and facts of the Library throughout the years.
  • Stop and see the Staff Appreciation photo wall showcasing Library staff members past and present.
  • Donate to the Winter Donation Center to help the Bellevue Food Pantry, Sienna Francis House, Memories for Kids, and The Collection for Hope.
