What are they?
Bellevue University Library has free day passes available for three local area attractions: Fontenelle Forest, Durham Museum, and Lauritzen Gardens. Each pass has its own specific details on the checkout period, the passes themselves, as well as overdue fees for passes.
How do I check them out?
In order to check out one of these passes, Patrons should present a valid Bellevue University identification card in order to borrow materials. In cases of forgotten or lost cards, patrons must show photo identification to borrow materials.
- Patrons can only check out one pass at a time.
- Passes cannot be sent to Lozier or out on ILL or Outreach.
- Passes cannot be returned to Lozier or the Book Drop. It must be returned to the Circulation or Reference Desk at Freeman/Lozier Library on Bellevue University’s Main Campus.

- Late Fees will be assessed at $1.00 a day aside from the passes for Durham Museum which do not get returned.

Fontenelle Forest is a conservation organization and a private nature center. It is one of the largest in the nation. Use one of our 7 passes to explore this natural space. This pass is checked out to Current Bellevue University Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni, and Community Users for 7 days.
These membership cards include all of the benefits and discounts of a household (family) membership, including 10% off in the gift shop, member pricing for all camps and special programs, free admission to the nature center, raptor refuge, and Neale Woods, as well as access to any members-only events and programs.
Immerse yourself in the history of the region at Durham Museum. Traveling exhibits visit this great museum covering a variety of subjects such as history, science, and industry. These are individual one time passes that will not need to be returned.
This living museum combines environmental stewardship with four-season beautiful displays of various types of plants. This is educational, conversational, and absolutely gorgeous. Use one of our passes to take a walk around this beautiful artwork and learn wonderful bits of horticulture while surrounded by colorful plants and scenery. This pass is checked out to Current Bellevue University Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni, and Community Users for 7 days.
